Shingo Discover Excellence
2-Day Workshop

This foundational, two-day workshop introduces the Shingo Model™, the Shingo Guiding Principles, and the Three Insights of Organisational Excellence. Through active discussion and on-site learning at a live Perth host operation, discover how to release the latent potential in your organisation to achieve organisational excellence.
2nd & 3rd December 2026 8.30am to 5pm Multiplan - Belmont
Why this workshop
Operational excellence tools, improvement projects, new operating systems. Most organisations have tried them all, and most watch the gains fade and sustaining these ways of working a challenge. The missing piece isn't another tool. It's understanding what actually drives results: behaviour, and the systems that shape it.
Discover Excellence is where that understanding starts. Developed by the Shingo Institute at Utah State University, home of the Shingo Prize, this workshop introduces the Shingo Model, its Guiding Principles, and the Three Insights of Organisational Excellence.
Systems drive behaviour. Behaviour drives results.
Two days here will change how you look at both.

As a participant, you will
Learn and understand the Shingo Model
Discover the Three Insights of Organisational Excellence
Explore how the Shingo Guiding Principles inform ideal behaviours that ultimately lead to sustainable results
Understand the behavioural assessment process through an interactive case study and on-site learning

Face to face workshop hosted by Multiplan
Based in Perth, with offices in Bulgaria, Multiplan delivers specialist construction modelling and structural steel detailing services for projects across Australia and internationally.
Over two days, you will engage with Multiplan team members through structured Go and Observe sessions, exploring how the Discover Excellence principles connect to everyday behaviours and working practices. These sessions offer an opportunity to observe, ask questions and reflect on how you can apply your learning within your own organisation.
Multiplan’s values of being Resilient, Committed, Collaborative, Innovative, Motivated and Versatile provide a foundation for exploring the relationship between organisational values, behaviours and continuous improvement.
